Proposal by Transport for Leigh was presented at a Public Meeting hosted by Andy Burnham MP.
The proposal had been amended, following the meeting with LENDF, to include an extension to the Bypass which would then connect with Winwick Lane.  
This new road would only be for cars and therefore not an effective bypass !
